Fuqua School Precinct Plan and Concept Design

Fuqua School
Farmville, Virginia

Glavé & Holmes developed a Precinct Plan and Concept Design for a potential new academic building—envisioned as a key step in the long-term transformation of Fuqua School’s campus. Originally constructed in the late 1950s, the campus is being thoughtfully reimagined to reflect the evolving values and goals of its faculty, staff, and students.

The concept explores a 16,000-square-foot facility that could include an art room, band room, science labs, general classrooms, and administrative space. Thoughtfully integrated into the existing site to minimize disruption to school operations, the proposed building reflects a forward-looking vision shaped through close collaboration with school leadership. While still in the conceptual stage, the design offers a flexible, future-ready framework rooted in the history and character of Farmville.
