Heritage Classical Academy Master Plan (2023)
Heritage Classical Academy
Peninsula, Ohio
After acquiring a historic property in Pepper Pike, Heritage Classical Academy engaged Glavé & Holmes to create a long-term master plan for its growing campus. The planning process focused on evaluating the best use of existing buildings while identifying opportunities for thoughtful renovation and new construction to support future enrollment and academic needs. The resulting plan accommodates an initial student population of 450, with the flexibility to grow to 700 over the next decade.
The Master Plan thoughtfully integrates a 1920s collegiate Gothic school building and later additions with a series of phased new facilities. At its heart is a new campus quad—framed by historic and contemporary architecture and anchored by the spired chapel and domed library. This once formless campus is reimagined as a cohesive and inspiring environment, with the central quad serving as a vibrant hub for play, outdoor learning, and community celebration. The site also features a preserved woodland and wetland area, enhancing the school’s connection to the surrounding community and adjacent walking trail.
