Student Life Center
Veritas School
Richmond, Virginia
As a next step in the campus master plan, Glavé & Holmes Architecture developed a concept design for a new Student Life Center that occupies a prominent site at the northeast corner of campus. Framing a key campus edge, the building is envisioned as a vibrant hub for daily life, featuring a large dining hall, library balconies, a welcoming lobby, six classrooms, and a range of support spaces including a kitchen, nurse station, and faculty offices.
The exterior design seamlessly integrates with the school’s historic Georgian architecture, reinforcing campus identity while introducing a pair of arcades that connect to the adjacent building. These arcades define an inviting courtyard that encourages gathering and community. Inside, the classical character continues, aligning with the school’s mission to express beauty in everyday experience and inspire students through thoughtfully designed spaces.
